How we select sources, verify claims, date data, and handle corrections. These standards govern all content published on Vianorr Education.

Source attribution on every figure
Every data figure — tuition, ranking, salary, rent, population — must have a named source, publisher, specific edition or report year, and an effective date before it is published. Figures without this attribution are not published.
Edition labelling is mandatory
Ranking editions change annually. A QS rank without an edition year is ambiguous and potentially misleading — the University of Toronto moved from #25 (QS 2025) to #32 (QS 2026). We always label the edition. When a new edition is published, we update within two weeks.
Data classification before publishing
Every data item carries a classification: Keep (accurate and current), Verify (structure correct, edition needs confirmation), Rewrite (substantially outdated), or Archive (not displayed publicly). Items classified as Archive are never shown to users.
Review cycles are mandatory
We maintain a review cycle for each source type. QS rankings: reviewed annually in June. Tuition figures: reviewed annually in June–July. CMHC rent data: reviewed annually in winter. LMIC salary data: reviewed annually. Items flagged for review are tracked internally.
No pay-to-rank or pay-to-place
Schools are not ranked by commercial arrangement. Advisers are not placed higher in listings in exchange for any payment or commercial relationship. Institutional profiles are not influenced by advertising spend.
Corrections are public and permanent
When a verified error is corrected, we publish a corrections log entry naming the original error, the correct figure, the source, and the date of correction. Corrections are never silently removed.
Adviser claims are verified
Specific adviser claims — credential numbers, school affiliations, years of experience — are verified against source records before being published on a profile. We do not publish unverified claims.
Immigration scope boundary
Vianorr Education publishes education information only. Immigration advice, visa guidance, and study permit information are outside our editorial scope and are the responsibility of regulated immigration consultants (RCIC). We do not publish immigration advice and we do not link to advisers who provide it without an RCIC designation.
