Working with Vianorr Education

Vianorr Education presents Canadian institutions to international students with source-attributed data and verified agent relationships. Institutions can correct data, verify agents, and reach students through clearly labelled sponsored placements — without influencing organic search results.

Why this matters for institutions

Accurate data reduces avoidable student confusion

Students who arrive with accurate fee expectations and realistic admission profiles are less likely to be frustrated by surprises at the application stage.

Verified agent labels protect your brand

Unauthorised agents using your name are currently labelled as 'provider-reported, authorisation not verified.' Verification is the only way to distinguish authorised from unauthorised agents on Vianorr profiles.

Transparency is becoming a regulatory expectation

IRCC and provincial bodies are increasing scrutiny of the international student sector. Institutions visible for accurate, source-attributed data and clear agent relationships are in a better position.

No editorial cost for participation

The data accuracy partnership is free. Vianorr does not gate accurate data behind a paid relationship — but a direct data partner gets faster correction turnaround and attribution.

Institution products

Each product has an explicit list of what it includes and what it does not — no product gives commercial influence over organic ranking or editorial content.

Data accuracy partnership

No fee

Institutions supply authoritative fee schedules, admission requirements, and program data directly to Vianorr. Every data point is attributed to the institution with a source URL, edition, and effective date — visible to every student who reads that page.

Includes

  • ✓Designated data-contact point at the institution
  • ✓Direct update channel for time-sensitive corrections
  • ✓Attribution label on every data point: source, edition, effective date
  • ✓Correction turnaround within 2 business days of verified update
  • ✓Data credited to institution on all pages where it appears

Does not include

  • ✕Any commercial exchange — this is not a paid partnership
  • ✕Influence over how your institution is ranked or described relative to peers
  • ✕Ability to remove factual data that is correctly attributed
Vianorr publishes data about all covered institutions regardless of whether they have a data partner. A partnership makes that data more accurate and more quickly updated — it does not affect ranking or editorial coverage.

Agent relationship verification

Verification fee

Institutions submit documentary evidence of authorised education agent relationships. Verified relationships are labelled 'Officially authorised — [Institution]' on adviser profiles. Without verification, any self-declared relationship is labelled 'Provider-reported — authorisation not verified by Vianorr.'

Includes

  • ✓Structured submission portal for agent authorisation documentation
  • ✓Verification turnaround within 10 business days of complete submission
  • ✓Student-facing label: 'Officially authorised agent for [Institution]'
  • ✓Label update when relationships change (add/remove agents)
  • ✓Annual re-verification prompt
  • ✓Institution dashboard: see which Vianorr-listed agents claim a relationship with you

Does not include

  • ✕Ability to verify relationships by self-declaration or association membership — documentary evidence is required
  • ✕Ability to suppress or remove agent listings you do not control
This product protects students from false affiliation claims and protects your institution from unauthorised agents using your name. Unverified agents who claim your name are labelled accordingly — students can see the difference.

Sponsored placement

Subscription fee

Institutions may sponsor discrete placement units on school pages, city pages, and program-category guides. Sponsored placements are visually distinct and labelled 'Sponsored' on every unit. They are served in a separated module — not integrated into organic search results.

Includes

  • ✓Clear 'Sponsored' label on every placement unit
  • ✓Targeting by study level (undergraduate/graduate/college), program category, or study destination
  • ✓Placements on school profile pages, city guides, and relevant program pages
  • ✓Monthly impression and engagement report
  • ✓Ability to pause, update, or cancel at any time

Does not include

  • ✕Any effect on organic search ranking — the ranking policy is published and applies to all institutions equally
  • ✕Native or unlabelled integration into search results
  • ✕Access to student personal data or contact details
Sponsored placement has no effect on organic ranking. The full ranking policy is public. Organic ranking policy →

Enhanced institution profile

Subscription fee

An enhanced profile extends the standard institution page with video, expanded program descriptions, open-day listings, campus photography, and scholarship information — all within Vianorr's source-attribution format.

Includes

  • ✓Video embed (institution-hosted content — Vianorr does not host video)
  • ✓Expanded program and campus information beyond standard data fields
  • ✓Open day and event listings (institution-managed, date-stamped)
  • ✓Scholarship and funding information with source attribution
  • ✓Priority data update turnaround (same-day for verified contacts)
  • ✓Designation: 'Profile updated directly by [Institution]'

Does not include

  • ✕Removal of factual negative data (historical review statistics, etc.)
  • ✕Ranking advantage — enhanced profiles appear in the same organic results as standard ones
Enhanced profile content is subject to the same editorial standards as all institution data. Institutions may not publish claims that contradict verified student review data.

Agent verification workflow

What the process looks like step by step, from first contact to label going live.

1

Contact Vianorr

Email the institution team with your institution name, a contact email at the institution domain, and the names of agents you want to verify. You will receive a secure submission link.

2

Prepare documentation

Acceptable evidence: a current agent directory listing on your institutional website (publicly accessible URL), a signed agent authorisation letter on institutional letterhead, or an email from an @[institution].ca address confirming the relationship. Marketing materials or agent self-declarations are not accepted.

3

Submit through the portal

Upload one document per agent relationship. Each submission is reviewed by the Vianorr institution team — not automated. You will receive a confirmation and any requests for clarification within 5 business days.

4

Labels are updated

Once verified, the agent's Vianorr profile is updated within 2 business days. The 'Officially authorised agent for [Institution]' label goes live. You receive a confirmation with the relevant agent profile URLs.

5

Maintain and re-verify

Vianorr sends an annual re-verification prompt. If an agent relationship ends, notify the institution team and the label is removed within 2 business days. Institutions can also notify Vianorr of unauthorised agents claiming a relationship — Vianorr will update the label and note the dispute.

Data shown on institution profiles

Every data point carries its source, publisher, edition, and effective date. Students can verify directly with the institution.

What Vianorr does not do

Transparency about scope is part of being a reliable partner.

✕

Label any agent relationship as authorised without documentary evidence from the institution

Self-declared relationships are labelled 'Provider-reported — not verified by Vianorr.' Students can see the distinction.

✕

Suppress verified negative reviews about an institution

Reviews are verified against booking records and cannot be removed because an institution finds them unflattering. Institutions may respond to reviews publicly.

✕

Guarantee student enquiry volume or application numbers

Student decisions are not within Vianorr's control and we do not make volume commitments.

✕

Give institutions commercial influence over organic search ranking

The ranking policy applies equally to all institutions regardless of whether they have a paid product.

✕

Show institution data without source attribution

Every tuition figure, requirement, and ranking carries its source, publisher, edition, and effective date.

✕

Accept payment in exchange for editorial coverage

Coverage decisions (which institutions to include and how to describe them) are editorial decisions — not commercial ones.

Institution enquiries

To correct a data point, start the agent verification process, or enquire about institution products, email the institution team. Include your institution name and a contact email at your institutional domain.

Requests from personal email addresses (gmail.com, etc.) cannot be acted on for verification submissions. Use your institutional email.
